#18 for the Flames is Javan Shashaty. Shashaty is a redshirt-freshman quarterback. He is 6’1″ 165 pounds and from Calvary Christian School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Shashaty is the career touchdown pass leader for the state of Florida with 112. He also ranks 2nd in the state of Florida in career passing yards, just ahead of Tim Tebow who ranks 3rd. His father, Guy, played football at Liberty from 1980-1983. Javan will battle incoming freshmen Stephon Masha and Bo Swanson for the 2nd-string QB spot behind Josh Woodrum.
