For the 2nd straight season, Liberty has accepted an invitation to the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). The Flames will host a first round matchup on Monday, March 12th. Opponent and time to be determined.

Coach McKay and the Flames competed in the CIT last year, where Liberty won its first two games, defeating Norfolk State and Samford, before falling to UMBC. Liberty also played in the CIT in 2009, advancing to the postseason tournament 3 times in school history, all with McKay at the helm.

This is Liberty’s 6th postseason appearance in its Division I history, having also played in the NCAA Tournament on 3 occasions, 1994, 2004, and 2013. The Flames are 20-14 overall this season, after falling to Radford on a buzzer-beater in the Big South Championship game.
