1. Lipscomb 16-4, 7-0 #48
   no change

Lipscomb is good, really good. They will be the best team to visit the Vines for a regular season game in some time. The two games between the LUs may determine who has home court advantage in the conference tournament.

This week: 1/29 @ Liberty, 2/2 vs North Alabama, 2/6 @ North Florida

2. Liberty 18-4, 7-0 #51
   no change

Biggest home regular season home game ever? That’s arguably what awaits Tuesday night.

This week: 1/29 vs Lipscomb, 2/2 vs NJIT, 2/5 vs Stetson

3. NJIT 17-5, 5-2 #163
  1

The Highlanders gutted out a tough game at home Sunday night over North Alabama, hitting a 3-pointer with 5 seconds left in regulation to force overtime where they pulled out the win. NJIT moves into 3rd place in the conference standings as they try to stay within striking distance of the Flames and Bisons.

This week: 1/30 vs FGCU, 2/2 @ Liberty

4. North Alabama 8-15, 5-3 #305
  2

The Lions continue to be the surprise of the ASUN, vaulting up the power rankings from the basement just a month ago. The first year Division I program is putting themselves in position to host a first round game in the ASUN tournament. Remember, despite UNA being eligible for the ASUN tournament, they are ineligible to win the league’s auto-bid. So, if they somehow win the conference tournament, the regular season champion will receive the ASUN’s auto-bid to the big dance.

This week: 2/2 @ Lipscomb, 2/6 @ FGCU

5. FGCU 8-14, 3-4 #232
  2

When we last updated the power rankings, FGCU was 0-3 in ASUN play and looking like they might finish outside of the top 4 of the league. Since that time, the Eagles have won 3 of 4 games to fight their way back into the middle of the conference standings.

This week: 1/30 @ NJIT, 2/2 vs Jacksonville, 2/6 vs North Alabama

6. North Florida 9-14, 3-5 #177
  3

North Florida was 3-1 in the conference entering their showdown with Liberty just a few short days ago. Since that time they’ve dropped 4 straight to drop towards the bottom half of the standings.

This week: 1/30 @ Kennesaw St, 2/6 vs Lipscomb

7. Jacksonville 9-13, 2-5 #250
  2

The Dolphins have shown they have the potential to play with anyone in the league, as evidenced by their taking both Lipscomb and Liberty to the wire on their home floor. 3 of their 5 conference losses have come by 3 points and that doesn’t count the Liberty game where they led by 10 with 11 minutes left. They will be a dangerous team down the stretch.

This week: 1/30 vs Stetson, 2/2 @ FGCU, 2/6 vs Kennesaw St

8. Kennesaw State 3-18, 0-6 #343
   no change

That’s 8 straight losses for Al Skinner and the Owls as they are just 1-18 against Division I opponents.

This week: 1/30 vs North Florida, 2/2 @ Stetson, 2/6 @ Jacksonville

9. Stetson 4-18, 0-7 #339
   no change

Well, at least either Stetson or KSU will get a win when they play each other.

This week: 1/30 @ Jacksonville, 2/2 vs Kennesaw St, 2/5 @ Liberty
