Liberty is currently 11-3 overall and 3-0 in CUSA after a perfect homestand this past weekend defeating Kennesaw State and Jax State. With a strong non-conference season, the Flames have put themselves in good position in terms of Bracketology and where Liberty could be seeded if they reach the Big Dance. Of course, CUSA is a one-bid league and the only team that will advance to the NCAA Tournament is whoever wins three (or four) games in Huntsville in March, but Liberty is certainly one of the teams in the mix to represent the conference on that stage.

BracketMatrix does a great job of compiling everyone who makes bracket projections into one location. Currently, BracketMatrix has 49 bracket projections included in their listing. Liberty represents CUSA in 34 of those brackets, receiving between a 12 and 14-seed in all of those projections with an average seed of 12.97. Other CUSA teams included in these projections this week include Middle Tennessee in 9 brackets with an average seed of 13.33, Sam Houston in 4 brackets with an average seed of 13.5, and New Mexico State in 2 brackets with an average seed of 12.5

  • Haslametrics has Liberty as the last 13-seed in their projection.
  • Team Rankings has Liberty with a 26% chance of making the tournament, the highest odds of any CUSA team and the Flames earning a 13-seed. Middle Tennessee is the next most likely from CUSA, currently at a 18% chance.
