Liberty drops a heart-breaker to Georgia State 67-66. What we learned against Georgia State:

Georgia State Head Coach Ron Hunter
  •  Liberty is 0-8 for the first time in school history.
  • Georgia State’s Rashaad Richardson hit a 3 pointer with 3 seconds to play to give GSU the 67-66 lead.
  • The 66 points scored is the 2nd consecutive game the Flames have set a season high for points scored.
  • Davon Marshall with a Liberty career high 25 points on 8/13 shooting & 6/9 from 3.
  • Casey Roberts (11) and Tavares Speaks (10) also scored in double figures.
  • Tomasz Gielo got his first start of the season and finished with 3 points and 4 rebounds.
  • JR Coronado had 9 rebounds and kept many other balls alive with his hustle and tip-outs.
  • Liberty was 12/24 from 3 pointers.
  • It will be interesting to see how confident this team remains following the 0-8 start especially after losing this game which looked like the one that Liberty would finally get off the snide.

Liberty returns to action Tuesday night in the Vines Center against Southern Virginia at 7pm.
