Liberty has rounded its roster for the upcoming 2025-26 men’s basketball season with the additions of Torr Sorensen and Brady Kester. Both Sorensen and Kester were included in social media posts by the men’s basketball team as the Flames are on campus and have begun summer workouts.

Sorensen is a 6’7″ forward who committed to Liberty in October 2023. He was originally part of the 2026 Class but has reclassified to join the Flames this summer and this upcoming season. Torr is the son of Liberty alum Erik Sorensen. Erik was a forward at Liberty from 1994-1998 when he played 113 games and started 59 for the Flames over his career. He averaged 5.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Kester is a 6’8″ forward from Davidson Day in North Carolina where he was named to the NCISAA 2A All-State team his senior year. He spent this past year, his freshman season of college, at Liberty and working with the team in a manager role.

Liberty was attempting to get Taelon Peter and Jayvon Maughmer back with the team with an additional year of eligibility being granted by the NCAA, but that has not happened and they will not be returning. With these additions, Liberty’s roster is finalized for this upcoming season.
