Liberty and Dayton will begin a home and home series, sources tell ASOR.
The first of the two games will be played in Dayton, Ohio this coming season with the return trip to Liberty Arena the following year. These will be the first ever meetings between the two programs.
Dayton is led by head coach Anthony Grant who is entering his 9th season leading the program. The Flyers posted a 23-11 record last season and 12-6 mark in the A10 before advancing to the NIT.
Grant is 172-82 during his time at Dayton with four NIT appearances and a trip to the Big Dance in 2024 where they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament following a win over Nevada.
This game will be added to Liberty’s scheduled for the upcoming season as well as the trip to Orlando to compete in an ESPN Event as well as a trip to Raleigh to take on NC State while hosting Charleston and FAU in the Field of 68 Event in Lynchburg.
