Liberty picks up a commitment from SMU transfer linebacker Kyle Ferm. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
Ferm was a top JUCO prospect a year ago and missed most of 2025 at SMU due to injury. He was a three-star prospect coming out of Junior College and also a three-star prospect in the transfer portal.
The 6’3″, 230 pound linebacker spent his freshman season in 2024 at Citrus College where he had 50 tackles, two sacks and an interception.
Ferm is Liberty’s 9th commitment in the transfer portal this cycle.
