The Liberty football team is in the offseason and has been going through some winter workouts with spring practice on the horizon. As has been the case with everything over the past year or so, this offseason will be unique for the Flames’ football team.
The FBS has an 85-scholarship limit, but that has been lifted for the 2021 season as the 2020 COVID affected year did not count against players’ eligibility and many seniors are returning. Liberty is welcoming 16 ‘super seniors’ back to the roster for 2021.
Here’s an updated look at the team’s projected scholarship chart with fall camp approaching. All years listed are the same for the 2020 season. So, those listed as juniors would have been seniors in 2021 if not for COVID.
