Liberty men’s basketball coach Ritchie McKay announced the signing of Hayden Koval today. Koval is a 7’0″, 220 pound center who currently plays for CHANT Homeschool in Prosper, Texas. He earned all-regional homeschool honors in 2015, all-tournament honors for the National Homeschool Tournament twice, and all-tournament for the Texas Homeschool State Tournament the past 3 seasons.
As a junior, Koval averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks per game. He also had an offer from Oral Roberts. Koval joins the Class of 2016 which also features Xzavier Barmore, Brock Gardner, and Josiah Talbert.
McKay on Koval: “What a blessing it is to add a player like Hayden to our roster. Although young and thin, he has great upside and if he continues to develop he has a chance to mkae a terrific impact! Hayden choosing Liberty just further speaks to the quality of institution that we are privileged to be a part of.”
