The cat was let out of the bag last Friday, but Liberty officially announced on Tuesday their “new brand guide” including new athletic logos. Here are some quick highlights:

From the official “Brand Update Announcement” – “While we have already established brand equity in our current wordmarks, athletic logos, and other visual branding elements, we believe that now is the time to make certain updates to our branding elements — prior to the anticipated advancement of Liberty’s athletic program to the highest levels of NCAA competition over the next few years. We are implementing a more modern, refined, and refreshed appearance without straying too far from Liberty’s classic look.”

Primary colors:                                                                                           Tertiary color:

From the “Liberty University Brand Identity Guide” the offical colors are Liberty Blue & Liberty Red.

Additional “secondary colors” are charcoal gray and light blue which can “serve as accent colors.”

It further states that in relation to Liberty Athletics the main colors used should be Liberty Red and Liberty Blue with “Athletics Gray” serving as a tertiary color.

And here is the new primary logo for the Athletics program:

There is also a “secondary solitary eagle” that can be used in either Liberty Red or Liberty Blue:

All Uniforms & Apparel will also get a makeover – “All uniform designs must be reviewed for colors and marks by Marketing.”

The Flames Sports Network is also getting a makeover and will “re-launch” later this year as Liberty Flames Sports Network or “LFSN”.

These new Liberty Football helmets were posted on Liberty University’s facebook page.
