For the first three seasons as an FBS Independent (2018-2020), Liberty has had to play two FCS teams per season to get to six home games. Beginning in 2021, the Flames will only be playing one FCS opponent each season.

Out of these announced home games, Liberty is scheduled to face 8 FBS Independents and 8 Conference USA teams, the most of any conference. The Flames are scheduled to face 7 ACC teams at home, 6 from the Sun Belt, and 5 from the MAC.

Beginning in 2025, there’s already one Power Five opponent scheduled to visit Lynchburg every season through 2030.

What’s your opinion of Liberty’s future home schedules? Which game(s) are you most looking forward to? Which season do you think has the best home slate?
