Liberty basketball will play at least seven games on a linear TV network this coming season. The news comes on the heels of Conference USA releasing its initial broadcast schedule for the 2023-24 men’s basketball season on Thursday.

The Flames will have games televised on CBS Sports Network and ESPNU while all remaining conference games will stream on ESPN+.

Liberty will play five linear games during the home and conference portions of the schedule, including three on ESPNU and two on CBSSN. The Flames will also play the two games at the Field of 68 Media Network Tip-Off Event which will both be carried on ESPNU.

The Flames’ games that will be televised on a linear network:

  • Nov. 30, 6 p.m. at No. 10 Florida Atlantic (ESPNU)
  • Dec. 1, time TBD vs Charleston (ESPNU)
  • Dec. 9, 2 p.m. vs Grand Canyon (ESPNU)
  • Jan. 6, 6 p.m. at Western Kentucky (CBSSN)
  • Jan. 14, 3 p.m. at Louisiana Tech (ESPNU)
  • Feb. 10, 8 p.m. vs Louisiana Tech (ESPNU)
  • Feb. 29, 9 p.m. vs New Mexico State (CBSSN)

In total, CBS Sports Network will air 18 CUSA games, including the two CUSA Championship semifinal contests and the title game in march. Five more CUSA contests are set to air on ESPNU.

ESPN+ boasts more than 100 of the league’s home contests, including the CUSA CHampionship’s first round game and four quarterfinal contests.

The 2024 CUSA Men’s Basketball Championship is scheduled to be played at Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The nine-team, single-game elimination tournament tips off on March 12 and culminates in the title game on March 16.

Ritchie McKay’s Flames are coming off a 27-9 season and 15-3 mark in conference play that saw Liberty fall to Kennesaw State in the ASUN tournament championship game. Liberty will open the season at home against Mid-Atlantic Christian on Nov. 6 before facing UNC Charlotte, in Charlotte though being on a neutral floor, on Nov. 10.
