The Liberty Flames are going headed to a New Year’s Six Bowl and will take on No.8 Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl!

The Flames are the highest ranked Group of Five Conference Champion, checking in at No. 23 in the final College Football Playoff Top 25 poll. As the highest ranked G5 conference champion, Liberty received an automatic bid into a New Year’s Six Bowl.

This is the fifth consecutive season the Flames have become bowl eligible and will continue their season into December.

The Fiesta Bowl Bowl will be played on Monday, Jan. 1 at Noon Glendale, Arizona.

Liberty has never faced Oregon in football. The Ducks are 11-2 on the season and finished 8-1 in the Pac-12. They lost to Washington, 34-31, in Friday’s Pac-12 Championship Game.

Liberty finished the 2023 season undefeated at 13-0 and a perfect 8-0 in the program’s first season in Conference USA. The Flames finished as the highest ranked Group of Five Conference Champion at No. 2e ahead of the AAC Champion SMU who was at No. 24.
