Liberty is currently 10-0 and off to the best start in school history, and it has the Flames seeing high prognostications by the bracketologists early this season.

In the latest ESPN Bracketology by Joe Lunardi, he has the Flames as an 11 seed in the South Region. If that were to happen that would be the Flames highest seed ever, besting last year’s mark of a 12-seed when Liberty defeated Mississippi State in the first round before falling to Virginia Tech in the round of 32. Lunardi has the Flames playing in Tampa versus Florida.

Andy Katz updated his projected March bracket and has LU as a 12 seed in the West Region playing West Virginia.

Next up for the Flames is a road trip to Phoenix to take on Grand Canyon University on Sunday night at 6:30 in a game that will be televised on ESPNU. Liberty will not return to the Vines Center until January 9th when the Flames face North Alabama for an ASUN tilt. In addition to Grand Canyon, over the next month Liberty will face Vanderbilt, Towson, and LSU.
