Liberty has picked up a huge commitment in the Class of 2025, coming four 4-star athlete Jaylon Coleman.
Coleman is a 5’8″, 150 pound prospect from Vandebilt Catholic High School and Houma, Louisiana. He projects as a running back and could be used by the Flames in a similar role to the way Aaron Bedgood was used during the 2023 season.
Coleman is rated as a four star prospect by both ESPN and Rivals while 247 Sports and On3 rates him as a three-star prospect. He has a long list of others including Arkansas, Florida State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon, Pitt, SMU, Texas A&M, UCF, FAU, Louisiana Tech, Tulane, UTSA, and several others.
According to 247Sports ratings, Coleman is the highest rated high school recruit to commit to Liberty. With a 247Sports Composite Rating of .8969, Coleman rates higher than the Flames’ previous highest rated recruit in DL Khristian Zachary who rated .8826.
Coleman is the 5th announced commitment of the day following 14 official visitors on campus over the weekend. He joins QB Ethan Houck, DE Jeff Hairston, DL Nik Alston, and S Davion Dean.
