Following Liberty’s 40-7 win Saturday over Louisiana-Monroe, the Flames’ overall win streak has reached six. LU won the final two games of the 2019 season and are 4-0 to start 2020.

The six-game win streak is Liberty’s longest as an FBS member, topping the streak set from Sept. 14 through Oct. 19, 2019. The current win streak is Liberty’s longest since a six-game win streak Oct.1-Nov. 5, 2011.

The current six-game win streak is tied for the 4th longest in school history. The Flames won eight straight during the 1982-83 seasons, 10 straight during the 1988-89 seasons, and 11 straight during the 2007-08 seasons.

The Flames are tied with North Carolina for the fourth longest active winning streak among FBS teams. Air Force and Notre Dame lead with nine-game active winning streaks, followed by Florida Atlantic (8), Liberty (6), and North Carolina (6)

Liberty puts that win streak on the line this week when the Flames travel to Syracuse to take on the Orange at noon.
