Liberty returns to action Tuesday night, continuing a 4 game home stand, as Stetson comes to the Vines Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.

The Hatters enter the contest with an overall record of 5-19 and a 1-8 mark in conference play. Head coach Corey Williams and his squad picked up the team’s first ASUN win on Saturday, defeating Kennesaw State, 92-75. It was Stetson’s first win since January 3rd and only 3rd win over a Division I opponent this season. Five different Hatters reached double figures, led by Leo Goodman’s 17.

The Flames defeated Stetson, 71-53, in DeLand on January 9th. Scottie James was the only player to reach double figures, scoring 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Myo Baxter-Bell was also solid in his 14 minutes, scoring 7 points. Darius McGhee added 9 points and 8 rebounds. Christiaan Jones was the only Stetson player to reach double figures, scoring 12 points.

With a win, Liberty will clinch a spot in the ASUN tournament, as only 8 of 9 teams will advance to the conference tourney. Lipscomb was the first team to secure its spot, doing so on Monday.

The Flames are also looking to win its 20 game of the season. The earliest a Liberty team has ever reached that plateau was on February 26th, doing so in 2009. At press time, there are only 7 Division I teams with 20 wins this year.
