With Liberty’s win at Jacksonville State Saturday night, the Flames improved to 24-5 overall and 16-2 in CUSA play. With a three-game lead over second place Sam Houston and just two games remaining in the regular season, Liberty has secured an outright regular season title as well as the 1-seed in next week’s CUSA Tournament in Huntsville, Alabama. The Flames are the first team to repeat as regular season champions in CUSA since Middle Tennessee did so in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

The 2026 Air National Guard Conference USA Basketball Championships take place March 10-14 at Propst Arena. The men’s first round begins Tuesday, March 10 with seeds 7-10 playing one another looking to reach the quarterfinals round where the top 6 seeds earn a first round bye. While the rest of the CUSA teams are still fighting for their finalized spots in the bracket, Liberty’s path and schedule is set. Liberty will open defense of their 2025 CUSA Tournament Championship on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Here’s their full path and schedule should they advance through the bracket:

Quarterfinals, Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Liberty vs winner of 8/9 seed

If Liberty advances to the Semifinals, the Flames will play  on Friday, March 13 at 12:30 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network vs winner of 4/5 seed

The CUSA Tournament Championship Game is Saturday, March 14 at 8:30 p.m. ET, on CBS Sports Network

The Flames are looking to become the first team to repeat as CUSA Tournament champions since Middle Tennessee did in 2016 and 2017.
