Update: Liberty has released additional information on the series as the Flames will also play UConn at Williams Stadium on November 11, 2023. It’s the only two games announced between the fellow FBS Independent schools at this time.

Additionally, the date for the Liberty and Virginia game from 2020 has officially been moved to October 14, 2023.

Previously: The Hartford Courant released much of UConn’s 2020 football schedule on Thursday, which includes Liberty at Connecticut on October 31st.

The Flames had previously announced a full 2020 slate, and 10/31 was an open date. With the Huskies now in that slot, Liberty has moved its November 7th game at Virginia to 2023. The Flames agreed to move that date so UConn could also get a game at Virginia on its 2020 schedule.

UConn announced this summer that it would be leaving the American Athletic Conference to join the Big East, a conference which does not sponsor football. The Huskies will join the ranks as an FBS Independent, joining Liberty, UMass, New Mexico State, BYU, and Notre Dame.
