The Liberty Lady Flames got back in the win column on Sunday afternoon, defeating Missouri State. It capped off a split on the weekend at home. The Flames are now 10-10 on the season and 4-5 in conference play.

Paced by CUSA leading scorer Rhema Collins (19 points, 11 rebounds), FIU controlled the interior during a 74-61 triumph at Liberty on Friday evening. The Panthers had the upper hand in rebounds (38-31), points in the paint (30-22), and second chance points (15-9). Liberty suffered its fourth consecutive home defeat and its fifth loss in six games overall. The Lady Flames committed 21 turnovers that led to 25 points while losing to FIU at Liberty Arena for the first time. JaKayla Thompson led Liberty with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists while Avery Mills added 12 points.

Liberty halted an uncharacteristic four-game home losing streak on Sunday afternoon to knock off Missouri State. The Lady Flames never trailed, aided significantly by a 40-26 rebounding advantage and a 23-0 edge in bench points. Claudia Acin led Liberty with 13 points on 5 of 5 shooting. In just her second game back from injury, Ify Nwaobi recorded her second career double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three blocked shots.
