Liberty’s 2025 baseball season has come to an end, and the 2025 MLB Draft is scheduled for mid-July where the Flames could add additional names to major league organizations at that time and they will join the growing list of former Flames currently with MLB organizations. Here’s an update on the former Flames who are currently with MLB clubs:

Mason Fluharty – Toronto Blue Jays

Fluharty was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2022 in the 5th round. He was promoted to AAA and the Buffalo Bisons to begin the 2024 season. After making his MLB debut in 2025, Fluharty is playing in the Big Leagues once again this season. He has made 18 appearances, including 1 start. Fluharty is 1-0 with a 6.57 ERA with 17 strikeouts and 7 walks in 12.1 innings.

Trey Gibson – Baltimore Orioles

Gibson made a quick rise in the Orioles’ organization, spending four seasons in the minors before making his Major League debut in early 2026. So far this year, Gibson is 2-2 with a 4.01 ERA in six starts in AAA while striking out 25 and walking 12 in 24.2 innings pitched. In his MLB debut against the Yankees, Gibson pitched 4.2 innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out two and walking two.

Will Wagner – AAA

Wagner was taken in the 18th round of the 2021 draft by the Houston Astros. He got the call up to the Big Leagues late in 2024 and excelled in his time with the Blue Jays before getting injured. He began last season again in the Majors where he played in 40 games with the Blue Jays before being traded to the San Diego Padres, playing 15 games for them. This season, Wagner is playing for AAA El Paso Chihuahuas with a .500 batting average in 2 games played with 8 plate appearances.

Dylan Cumming – A+

Cumming went undrafted and signed with the Giants as a free agent following the 2022 college season. After being released by the Giants, he was signed by the Chicago White Sox in June 2025. This season, Cumming, who is playing for their A+ club the Winston-Salem Dash, has a 2-1 record with a 5.73 ERA in 5 starts. He has 28 strikeouts and 4 walks in 22 innings pitched.

Joe Adametz – A+

After being drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 14th round of the 2022 MLB Draft, Adametz was released by the Tigers and is now with the Rangers where he is playing for the Hub City Spartanburgers. He is currently 2-1 on the season with a 3.66 ERA in 4 appearances. Adametz has struck out 24 and walked 5 in 19.2 innings pitched.

Cole Hertzler – A+

Hertzler was drafted by the Houston Astros in the fifth round of the 2024 MLB Draft. He’s currently pitching for the A+ team in Asheville where he has started five games and has a 1.25 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched while walking s13 and striking out 31.

Camden Troyer – A+

Troyer was selected in the 12th round of the 2025 MBL draft by the New York Yankees. He’s currently playing for the Hudson Valley Renegades where he has a .237 batting average with 3 home runs and 12 RBI in 84 plate appearances.

Max Alba – A

Alba signed as an undrafted free agent with the Detroit Tigers. He’s currently with their A club the Lakeland Flying Tigers. This season he has made 2 appearances, both starts. Alba has posted a 2.84 ERA over 6.1 innings.

Trey Cooper – A

After going undrafted in 2025, Trey Cooper was signed by the Chicago White Sox. Playing for their A club the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, Cooper has made 8 relief appearances and is 1-0 with a 4.80 ERA. He has 21 strikeouts and walked 12 in 15 innings.

Noah Skirrow

Skirrow began the 2022 season in the Philadelphia Phillies organization with their Double-A affiliate the Reading Fightin Phils. He made it all the way to AAA before being released by the Phillies before the 2025 season. He played in the World Baseball Classic with Canada, making one relief appearance, allowing one hit in three innings. He’s also played some this spring in the Mexican League with Toros de Tijuana.
