Liberty has picked up a commitment from former Florida offensive lineman Christian Williams. He made the announcement on his Instagram account.

Williams played in 6 games across 3 seasons for Florida and has two years of eligibility remaining. Originally from Texas, he was a three-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class and was one of the first recruits to commit to Florida after Billy Napier was hired as the head coach. Napier also recruited Williams while he was at Louisiana, where he was committed originally and flipped to Florida after Napier took the job in Gainesville. Williams is 6’4″ and 309 pounds. This past season, Williams played in two games with 8 offensive snaps total on the year, seeing the field against Kentucky and Florida State.

Williams played primarily at right guard during his high school career at Fort Bend Marshall. He helped them to a record of 22-2 over his final two seasons and Texas 5A playoff appearances.

He is the third offensive line transfer to commit to Liberty, joining former UAB OL Trey Bedosky and Wingate OL Erwil Anthony as the Flames look to beef up their front line after losing a few key pieces in the transfer portal.
