Liberty has released its 2016-17 men’s basketball non-conference schedule. The schedule features home games with VCU and Princeton and trips to Indiana and Houston.

The Flames will open the season at home on November 11th against Cairn, a Division III school located in Langhorne Manor, Pennsylvania. Liberty will then play host to VCU on November 15th before travelling to take on Indiana. The schedule includes six opponents who reached postseason play in 2016. VCU and Indiana each made the NCAA Tournament while Furman (CIT), Houston (NIT), Princeton (NIT), and UNC Greensboro (CBI) also made postseason appearances.

The non-conference portion of the schedule concludes December 19th and 21st with a trip to Texas with matchups against Lamar and Houston. The trip southwest will be a homecoming for three members of Liberty’s basketball roster who hail from Texas (Lovell Cabbil, Ryan Kemrite, A.C. Reid).
