The 2020 NFL regular season is in the history books, and the Flames had two former players named to active rosters at some point during the season. Both Antonio Gandy-Golden and Jessie Lemonier made their professional debuts this season as rookies, AGG for the Washington Football Team and Lemonier for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Gandy-Golden was selected by the then Washington Redskins in the fourth round (142nd overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. Injuries have plagued his rookie season as he suffered a concussion late in the preseason causing him to miss week one and then suffered a hamstring injury mid-season which forced him out much of the rest of the year. AGG ended up playing in weeks 2 through 6 and again in week 16 before being a healthy scratch for week 17. Washington will play Tampa Bay on Saturday in the playoffs.

AGG played in 6 games during the regular season, making 2 starts. He finished with just 1 reception on 7 targets for 3 yards to go along with a 22 yard run on his lone carry.

Lemonier was signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent immediately following the 2020 NFL Draft. He went through all of training camp with the team and was waived during the final roster cuts in early September before being signed to the team’s practice squad the following day. He was first promoted to the active roster on September, 26. He spent much of the 2020 season going from practice squad to active roster to being waived and then re-signed to practice squad. He finished the regular season on the active roster.

Lemonier became a key member of the Chargers’ Special Teams units while he was active, playing near 50% of all special teams snaps when he got in the game. In week 17, he played 26% of the defensive snaps and 55% of the special team snaps while also recording his first career sack before an offsides penalty nullified it. For the season, Lemonier played in 6 games and recorded 2 tackles.
