Liberty has signed Charleston Southern transfer wide receiver Rashawn Cunningham. The 6’2″, 200 pound receiver was a FCS freshman All-American and first-team all-conference performer this season with 34 receptions for 628 yards, and 7 touchdowns.

Since entering the portal, he had reported offers from UTEP and several FCS schools. As a redshirt-freshman, Cunningham was also a Jerry Rice Award finalist, the FCS level version of the Heisman Trophy. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Cunningham attended Chapman High School in Inman, South Carolina where he earned all-state honors his senior season and compiled 1,700 receiving hards with 26 total to uchdowns over his final two seasons.

Cunningham is Liberty’s sixth transfer portal commitment since the portal opened on January 2 and the second wide receiver joining Indiana transfer Makai Jackson.
