In a four-person prediction panel predicting the winners of each 2024 conference tournament, ESPN’s Myron Medcalf, Jeff Borzello, John Gasaway, and Joe Lunardi all made their picks for the 2024 CUSA Tournament.

As competitive as the league has been all season, with teams 3-9 separated by just three games, the four ESPN analysts all had similar thoughts. All four picked No. 2 seed Louisiana Tech to cut down the nets in Huntsville.

“Isaiah Crawford (16.4 PPG) and Daniel Batcho (14.5 PPG) are both in the running for C-USA player of the year in Talvin Hester’s second season as head coach,” Medcalf had to say of la Tech. “The Bulldogs are ranked first in the country with a 42.8% clip allowed inside the 3-point line, and they’ve also connected on 38% of their 3-point attempts in league play. They’re good everywhere.”

Liberty, as the No. 4 seed, will open CUSA Tournament play on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm at Propst Arena. The Flames, will take on No. 4 seed UTEP.

The entire CUSA Tournament will be played in Huntsville, Alabama at Propst Arena. The first round begins Tuesday night with No. 8 seed Jacksonville State taking on No. 9 seed FIU. The quarterfinals begin Wednesday night with two games while the other two quarterfinals will be played on Thursday. The semifinals get underway Friday afternoon while the championship game is scheduled for Saturday night on CBS Sports Network.
