Liberty has added another addition to its team from the transfer portal as North Greenville tight end transfer Breckan Kirby has announced his commitment to Liberty.
Kirby picked up several offers since entering the portal such as Central Michigan, Buffalo, and others. This past season as a redshirt freshman, in 8 games played, Kirby had 4 catches for 23 yards and a touchdown. The 6’4″, 220 pound tight end has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Kirby is originally from Gainesville, Georgia where he attended North Hall High School. The Flames currently only have two returning tight ends from this past year’s team in Bo Burklow and Caleb Ryan.
Kirby is Liberty’s fourth commitment in the past two days in the transfer portal, joining NC State OL Valen Erickson, Penn State OL Alex Birchmeier, and Indiana WR Makai Jackson.
