Following Liberty’s 4-8 finish in 2025 and 3-5 mark in Conference USA play, the Flames placed two selections on CUSA all-conference teams, as announced by the conference on Thursday. Liberty had a total of 11 members of the first, second, and honorable mention teams. RB Evan Dickens was named second-team all-conference while LB Derrell Farrar earned honorable mention.

This was the first time since joining Conference USA prior to the 2023 season that the Flames did not place any first team selections. Last year, Liberty had four first-team all-CUSA honorees and placed seven on the first-team in 2023.

Dickens left his mark on Liberty’s record books during his first season with the Flames. The running back rushed for 1,339 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2025. He led the conference in rushing touchdowns and ranked second in the league in rushing yards, only trailing the nation’s leader in rushing, Cam Cook from Jacksonville State who earned first-team all-conference, MVP, and Newcomer of the Year honors. At the end of the college football regular season, Dickens ranked No. 3 in the country in rushing yards per game (121.7), No. 4 in rushing touchdowns (16) and total touchdowns (17), No. 5 in rushing yards (1,339), No. 7 in all-purpose yards (127.27 per game) and No. 10 in scoring (9.3 points per game). The native of Roswell, Ga., posted a school record three 200-yard rushing performances in 2025, ranked second in single-season school history in rushing touchdowns and third in rushing yards.

Farrar started in nine of the 11 games he played in during the 2025 season. He led the Flames during his first year on the roster with 71 tackles (38 solo, 33 assisted). The native of Stone Mountain, Ga., finished his first season at Liberty with 17 more tackles than any other player on the roster. He also ranked second on Liberty’s team with 610 defensive snaps played and finished three games with 10 or more tackles.
