There are multiple reports that Liberty assistant women’s basketball coach Alexis Sherard will be named the next Coastal Carolina women’s basketball head coach.

Sherard has been an assistant for the Liberty women’s team for the past six seasons. In the 2 seasons prior to coaching the Lady Flames, Sherard was an assistant for Liberty’s men’s basketball team.

Sherard will replace Alan LeForce who retired last month after 16 seasons as Coastal’s head coach.
