CAA Sports announced Monday that it will represent former Liberty basketball star Caleb Homesley, as he prepares to play at the professional level.

Caleb joins an impressive stable of CAA clients that includes number 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft Zion Williamson, as well as D’Angelo Russell, Chris Paul, Karl Anthony-Towns, Donovan Mitchell, Paul George, Joel Embiid, and Devin Booker.

After a dominant career at Liberty, Homesley has racked up postseason awards. After being selected as the 2019-20 ASUN Player of the Year, ASUN Tournament MVP, and a First Team All-ASUN selection, he has also been named VaSID All-State First-Team, Lou Henson All-American, Lute Olson All-American, and an NABC District 3 First Team honoree.

Homesley ended his career ranked No. 10 on Liberty’s all-time scoring list with 1,539 career points and No. 8 on the school’s all-time rebounding list with 703 rebounds. This season, he ranked third in the conference averaging 15.3 points per game and was second on the team with 5.7 rebounds per game.

Homesley helped guide the Flames to the program’s most successful season with 30 wins, a program record, the second consecutive ASUN Regular Season Championship, and ASUN Tournament Championship while clinching a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The past two ASUN Player of the Years have made it in the NBA, as Homesley looks to become the third straight. 2018 ASUN POY, Brandon Goodwin from Florida Gulf Coast, has played in 50 games over the past two seasons with the Denver Nuggets and the Atlanta Hawks. 2019 ASUN POY, Garrison Mathews from Lipscomb, played in 18 games this season with the Washington Wizards.

Seth Curry, who played his true freshman season at Liberty before transferring to Duke, has played in 251 career NBA games and is currently part of the Dallas Mavericks.

Peter Aluma and Julius Nwosu are the only other Liberty players to play in the NBA. Aluma played in two games with the Sacramento Kings while Nwosu played in 23 games with the San Antonio Spurs.

Liberty has had two players selected in the NBA Draft as Ezra Hill was taken in the 10th round by the Phoenix Suns in 1984 and Cliff Webber was selected by the Boston Celtics in the 4th round of the 1985 draft.

The 2020 NBA Draft is currently scheduled for June 25.
