As Liberty fans, we all know how good Antonio Gandy-Golden is and the rest of the football world is starting to take notice as well.

AGG entered week 5 as the FBS leader in receiving yards and after his 6 receptions for 144 yards and 1 touchdown performance against New Mexico, he is currently in 2nd place just one yard behind the new FBS leader Arkansas State’s Omar Bayless.

WalterFootball.com currently projects Gandy-Golden as a first round NFL draft pick in April’s 2020 NFL Draft. The website projects AGG to be picked 27th overall by the San Francisco 49ers.

“Antonio Gandy-Golden has great size (6-4, 220) and hands,” the projection states. “Level of competition is a question mark.”

If he is drafted, Gandy-Golden will be the first Liberty player taken in the NFL Draft since Walt Aikens was selected in the 4th round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. The Flames have had one player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft, as tight end Eric Green was taken with the 21st overall pick in 1990 by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
