Entering the 2020 NFL Draft, many draft experts expected Liberty’s Antonio Gandy-Golden to be selected in the 3rd or 4th round.

As the second night of the Draft moved into the late hours Friday, AGG remained on the board, and now as we move to the third and final day of the Draft with rounds 4-7 this afternoon, he’s one of the top remaining prospects on the board.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper has Gandy-Golden as the 8th best prospect available and the top remaining wide receiver.

In one of the deepest wide receiver classes of all-time, we saw 6 receivers selected in Thursday’s first round. The second round saw another 7 come off the board. As we moved to the third round Friday, we all held on to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s every word.

When the Washington Redskins were on the clock with the 2nd pick of the 3rd round and 66th overall selection, all of our hearts sank when Goodell announced the Redskins pick as “Antonio” and then a hard G. Surely this was Liberty’s AGG, but no it was Memphis wide receiver Antonio Gibson.

A total of 4 receivers were taken in the 3rd round, which didn’t end until midnight, for a total of 17 WRs selected through the first 3 rounds.

Let’s hope for AGG and all of his friends, family, and fans, that Saturday’s wait is short.
