Suspended Liberty University running back Aldreakis Allen had a hearing this morning at 10 AM. He has been charged with one count each of attempted robbery of a residence and malicious wounding from incidents which occurred on March 3.

According to the News & Advance, Allen’s charges were certified this morning and his case will head to a June 3rd grand jury where the case could be sent to circuit court. The N&A story states “Cory Reed testified Thursday that Allen tried to take his wallet at a party on Demott Street in Lynchburg on April 3, then struck Reed in the eye with a closed fist, causing broken facial bones and a detached retina. Reed testified he has already undergone two surgeries and has multiple procedures scheduled.”

No timetable has been given for Allen’s suspension, and he is still listed on Liberty’s roster. We will continue to keep you updated on this story throughout the Summer.
