Following his career with the Flames, Edwards played in the NFL with the Saints, Cowboys, and 49ers. During his NFL career, he totaled 49 receptions, 746 yards, and 4 total touchdowns. In 2009, Edwards was named to the inaugural Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame class.
