The long snapper never gets any love! Today’s flashback player is former Flame standout at long snapper Dan Pope. Pope played for the Flames from 2004-2008. The 6’3″ 200 pound long snapper originally hails from Palm City, Florida and John Carroll High School. Pope started all 4 seasons for Liberty at long snapper. During his time at Liberty, Pope was named to the Big South first-team on multiple occasions, and he was also named an All-American at long snapper. He transferred to Liberty after one season at Florida Atlantic where he was a long snapper and tight end.

#42 for the Flames this season will be Dexter Herman who we featured at his old number of 45.
