With the transfer portal dominating headlines throughout college sports the past couple of years, every team loses and adds some players through it each season.
We are seven games into the new season under head coach Jamey Chadwell and just past the halfway point. With the Flames currently in a bye week, this provides us an opportunity to check in on all the transfers Liberty added to its roster following the 2024 season:
K Jay Billingsley
After a slow start to the season, Billingsley has come on strong late and looks to be a very reliable weapon for the Flames at kicker. He has made 10 of 14 field goals on the season with a long of 50.
K Tyler Black
Black has not seen the field as he is down the depth chart at kicker behind Billingsley and Brayden Beck.
QB Ethan Vasko

After Bedosky went down to injury, Engbers stepped into the starting lineup, a spot he has held at left guard.

Spurlock does have stats, he’s had a couple of tackles at both games I’ve been to
Thank you for your comment. According to Liberty’s official stats, he doesn’t have any tackles. Looking into this further, he does have 12 tackles on the season. Not sure why Liberty’s stats doesn’t credit him with any.
