Liberty has dropped two straight games after falling in overtime at FIU, 34-27, this past weekend. The Flames have fallen to 4-6 on the season and 3-3 in CUSA play, and must win its final 2 games to reach bowl eligibility for a seventh straight year and keep a streak of 6-win seasons dating all the way back to 2006 alive.

The Flames finished the 2024 campaign with an 8-4 record that included a loss to Buffalo in the Bahamas Bowl. It marked a sixth straight appearance in a bowl game. Liberty has now won eight or more games for the 15th season in program history, including six straight years.
