The linebackers will again be anchored by Scott Hyland and Nick Sigmon. Hyland and Sigmon are the top 2 returning tacklers from the 2012 season. Sigmon led the team in tackles for loss with 11 a year ago.
Andrew Jauch and Chris Mayo are both converted safeties; Jauch came out of nowhere to grab hold to the #1 spot at SAM. Jauch had just 2 tackles in 8 games played a season ago. Mayo was limited during Spring ball, but he will be a factor in the Fall as he is the 6th leading tackler from 2012 to return.
Dallas Griffiths and Dylan Lewellyn should both see plenty of time in reserve roles.
