Larry Blair

An update on Liberty alumni playing basketball professionally.

T.J. Bannister
Bannister has played on teams in Lebanon, China, Israel, Germany, and Poland since exhausting his eligibility at Liberty in 2008. He most recently played with Karlsruhe in Germany this season. He played in 12 games while averaging 9.8 points and 4.5 assists per game.

Larry Blair
Since graduating from Liberty in 2007, Blair has spent time overseas in Hungary, Finland, France, Georgia, Lebanon, and Qatar. He played for Al Gharafa in Qatar this past season where he averaged 28.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game.

Dwight Brewington
Brewington most recently played for the North Shore Tides of the ABA. He’s also spent time in Canada, Slovakia, and Israel.

Damien Hubbard
Hubbard has spent time playing for the Lynchburg Titans. This past season, he averaged 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. He’s also played in the CBA for Albany and Great Falls.

Alex McLean
McLean has played in Iraq, Lebanon, China, Qatar, Egypt, and the Philippines. He’s most recently listed on Rain or Shine’s (in the Philippines) roster with no stats accumulated.

Jesse Sanders
Jesse has played for Fileni BPA Jesi in Italy and for the Kings in Australia. While playing in Australia, he averaged 10.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.

Anthony Smith
Since graduating from Liberty in 2009, Smith has spent time in Spain, France, and Germany. He most recently played for Bremerhaven in Germany where he averaged 7.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Tavares Speaks
Speaks spent his first season professionally playing for Kirchheim in Germany where he averaged 4.6 points per game. One of his teammates is former Big South and UNC-Asheville guard Bryan Smithson.
