| QB Josh Woodrum is 1 of 5 2013 team captains |
Liberty head football coach Turner Gill recently announced the Flames’ 2013 team captains. Brandon Apon, Malcolm Boyd, Kevin Fogg, Cory Freeman, and Josh Woodrum will be the captains for the 2013 season.
Apon broke onto the scene in 2012 with 5 receptions for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns. After a standout Spring practice session, Apon will be counted on for increased production in the Fall.
Boyd who is recovering from a horrific leg injury suffered against Norfolk State in 2012. He will be looked to as a leader on the young & inexperienced offensive line.
Fogg will be a returning captain as the cornerback and All-American returner was also a captain during the 2012 season.
Cory Freeman has the skills to be one of the most dominating defensive lineman the Flames have ever seen.
As just a sophomore, Woodrum will be looked at to guide the young offense.
