Previous report: Former Liberty guard Evan Gordon has announced he’s transferring from Arizona State after just one playing season for the Sun Devils. Gordon is expected to graduate this month, and could be eligible to play right away. The fact that he has already transferred once before could put a wrench in those plans though. Evan has one season of eligibility remaining.

Gordon spent his first 2 seasons at Liberty where he was named to the 2010 Big South All-Freshman team, and was named VASID All-State Rookie of the Year. He averaged 14.4 points per game in his sophomore season. After sitting out the 2011-12 season due to transfer rules, Gordon was 3rd on the Arizona State team in scoring at 10.1 points per game.
Gordon is the brother of Eric Gordon who currently plays for New Orleans of the NBA and former Indiana Hoosier. Evan’s dad, Eric Sr., was a standout at Liberty.
Reports say he is looking to transfer to a school near his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana, and many assume he will end up a Hoosier.
