Recruiting. It’s always fun to talk about, but rarely do we take the time to go back and look at a recruiting class as a whole after the story has been written. Here are some stats regarding the past several Liberty football recruiting classes.

Note: Danny Rocco was head coach for the 2006-2011 classes; Turner Gill was head coach for the 2012-2013 classes.

With the exception of the 2006 class, it is clear that Danny Rocco placed a heavy emphasis on recruiting in the commonwealth of Virginia. Turner Gill has switched it up a bit as his classes have focused primarily out of state.

The 2009 class seems to have performed the best out of Rocco’s classes as it scores highest in both average years at Liberty and all-conference selections. This class isn’t quite finished yet as Aldreakis Allen, Malcolm Boyd, and Kevin Fogg all still have eligibility remaining. Other notable players from this class include Brent Vinson and SirChauncey Holloway.

It is too early to make a judgment on the 2011-2013 classes.
