Cousins has an offer from Liberty. He had committed to Troy until he recently decommitted. Cousins is scheduled to visit Liberty October 25 for the Gardner-Webb game. As a junior last season, he recorded 123 tackles, 5 passes defended, 2 interceptions, and 2 fumble recoveries. He helped lead Gainesville to the state semifinals. He is a 2-star rated prospect according to Rivals and 247Sports. Gainesville is the same school which produced Deshaun Watson, a 2014 5-star prospect which was ranked as high as the #3 national prospect. Watson is now at Clemson where the true freshman leads the Tigers in total offense with 220 yards per game.
